Tara Twigg

Creative Affairs

Tara TwiggTara Twigg joined Savi Media after a long association with Pacific Motion Pictures in Vancouver. At PMP, Twigg was part of the development team for the award–winning features Magic in the Water and A Boy Called Hate as well as the ShowTime movie The Baby Dance, winner of the prestigious Peabody Award. In 1999, Twigg was co-producer of the Lifetime Television Movie, Navigating the Heart.

While at PMP, Twigg developed both long–form television and series with CTV and the first ever co–development venture with CBC and Disney International. In 1999 she moved with PMP to become the VP of Development at Sextant Entertainment Group and was the executive on Don’t Eat the Neighbours, a co-production with Granada Kids Television and The Rumford’s, a pilot for Pax TV in the US.

Previously, Twigg held the position of Director of Development for Western International Communications (WIC), Western Canada’s largest private broadcasting group (1992–1994). Prior to that, she was the Development Officer for the Vancouver office of Allarcom’s Superchannel. Most recently, Twigg was the Co–Producer of Zixx: Levels Two and Three for YTV and Cartoon Network in the US.
